Young Talent Award at the Pullman Dresden
Oliver Herberg is one of the best REFA-Trainees in Dresden
At the
23rd Ernst-Lößnitzer-Championship Dresden’s gastronomy industry nominated the best of their young talent: cooks, hotel and restaurant specialists from their second and third year of training. Included was
Oliver Herberg, a restaurant specialist trainee in his third year from the
Pullman Dresden Newa.
Oliver was one of the best in the theoretical part of the competition, which had been selected from 100 trainees. Under the critical eyes of the Jury, tables had to be set and prepared correctly, and meals and drinks served while communicating with guests.
The second place for Oliver Herberg under the budding restaurant experts in Dresden
Excitement for everyone: the trainees, the representatives of the employers, and the Manager of the BSZ for the Hospitality Industry in Dresden. Oliver Herberg impressed the guests and jury by bringing the “Wild Starter” and the “Fish Platter with Beetroot Risotto” to the table with composure and cheerfulness.
Oliver’s reward: A well earned second place. With this placing the 20-year old has qualified for the Saxon State Championships in June. General Manager Daniel Schlomann: “The good placing is evidence of our high standard of training at the Pullman Hotel Dresden. I will personally help prepare Oliver for the championships and I wish him all the best.”
