Pullman Dresden Newa in the fight against HIV and AIDS
Medal of Honour for Engagement in the fight against HIV and AIDS In time for this year’s World Aids Day on the 1st of December, Daniel Schlomann, the new General Manager of the Pullman Dresden Newa met with the chairman of the board of Dresden’s AIDS-Hilfe, Riccardo Schulze. The reason was for the continuation of the long lasting cooperation between the association and the hotel. Both agreed that in 2015, the hotel would continue to provide spaces for the further education of doctors and caregivers, free of charge. For Daniel Schlomann and his team is vital that people suffering from HIV and AIDS live in an open-minded, informed society. The Pullman Dresden Newa has contributed to many campaigns of Dresdner AIDS-Hilfe in recent years. It has provided a location for filming, helped significantly with Dresden’s celebrities to produce a calender „Dresden zeigt Schleife“ and was the main host and organiser of the last Dresden AIDS Gala. One year ago, the Saxon State Minister of Social Affairs, Christine Claus, awarded the hotel with the Medal of Honour for its outstanding efforts in the fight against HIV and AIDS.
